RC-20 Added to Energy Queensland Approved Grid Protection Relays
Switchgear engineering firm NOJA Power confirm their RC-20 Recloser Controller has been added to the publicly available Energy Queensland Approved Grid Protection Relays.
The list of Approved Grid Protection Relays comply with IEC Standards and ANSI/IEC device functions required for embedded generation connections.
NOJA Power’s RC-20 device meets the High Priority functions level 1 requirements, including Undervoltage, Over voltage, Under Frequency, Over frequency, Rate of Change of Frequency and Directional Power elements.
This publicly available register can be accessed here.
NOJA Power’s RC-20 Recloser Control is paired with the OSM Recloser system, delivering an integrated switchgear system for protecting the medium voltage distribution grid, and for connecting distributed renewable energy sources.
“Australian utilities are somewhat leading the way with regard to integration of large scale renewable energy into the distribution grid and connections standards have evolved to allow the safe and reliable connection of large scale renewable energy generation,” says NOJA Power Group Managing Director Neil O'Sullivan.
