DIN C Terminals now available on 38 kV NOJA Power OSM Recloser

International switchgear engineering firm NOJA Power today announce the availability of a DIN C terminal option for their 38 kV OSM Recloser.

This build option for the OSM Recloser allows utility engineers to terminate underground cables directly onto the Recloser using DIN-C standard elbow connectors. It also allows the OSM38 to be used as an Overhead to Underground connection point.

“Having a DIN C bushing option that must be specified at time of order on the 38kV product allows Dead Break Elbow terminations to be used on one or both sets of terminations to allow flexibility in underground or underground to overhead applications,” says NOJA Power Group Managing Director Neil O’Sullivan.

NOJA Power’s DIN-C Terminal options have been available on the 15 and 27 kV OSM Reclosers for some time, but increased demand for a 38 kV version has expedited product development.

Key drivers for increased demands are the aging global legacy fleet of 38 kV Reclosers employed in a similar application approaching end of life.

The addition of DIN-C terminations to the OSM38 Recloser allows engineers to upgrade to the NOJA Power RC-20 control system, offering extensive power quality and distributed energy integration features alongside conventional network protection features.
