We are seeking applications for the position of Purchasing Manager for our Manufacturing facility in Murarrie, Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity for a purchasing professional to join NOJA Power

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, your key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Undertake the strategic procurement function including commercial analysis, negotiation and award of purchase orders/ contracts
• Manage the purchasing team based in Brisbane and Overseas
• Source potential domestic and international suppliers to effect procurement efficiencies, including arranging tenders or other appropriate means for identifying suppliers and assist in the development and preparation of supplier agreement documentation as required.
• Administer and manage supplier agreements by monitoring performance and initiating corrective action, where necessary, and periodically report on supplier performance and purchasing plan KPIs
• Negotiate and agree price lists with key suppliers
• Work closely with the production team to manage the logistics and purchasing process of the company
• Deliver cost savings to the business through improved purchasing processes.
To be successful in the role, you should possess:

• 3-5 years Commercial experience in similar role
• Exceptional negotiation skills and International logistics experience
• Demonstrated ability in MRP and ERP systems, SAP experience will be highly regarded
• Preferably business degree majoring in supply and logistics or relevant industry experience
• Team engagement
• Applicant with Engineering knowledge will be highly regarded

You must also be an excellent communicator and able to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that agreed outcomes are delivered for the business.

Applications Software Developer – 6 months contract

NOJA Power Switchgear manufactures and supplies globally a range of microprocessor based, intelligent medium voltage switchgear providing control, measurement and communication capabilities. We are seeking an Applications Software Developer with a few years of professional software development experience and sound knowledge of computer and systems networking for a specific project. The successful applicant will work as part of an established software development team in an organization taking Australian technology to the world. The contract will initially be for a duration of 6 months.

Essential Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a few years of professional experience gained from industry, developing C#/.Net/C++ desktop applications for the Windows platform and considerable networking experience. The following skills and experience are essential:
• Strong C#/.Net 4.6 or higher with Visual Studio
• Working with revision control systems such as SVN, Bitbucket, Git etc. and requirements and issue tracking tools like JIRA, Trac, Bugzilla.
• Software installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to debug and fix bugs in a large software project
• Good, demonstrable understanding of development methodologies, best practices in software build, integration and test
• Liaising with customers and code contributors in a technical capacity

Mechanical CAD Draftsperson / Technician

We are seeking a Mechanical Draftsperson with one to two years industry experience who is very enthusiastic to learn and progress in the field of Mechanical Engineering. The successful applicant will enjoy being part of an organization taking Australian technology to the world.

The role will report to R&D Switchgear Manager

Key responsibilities of this role include:
* Creating manufacturing drawings and specifications of designs developed by other engineers in the team
* Creating 3D cad models of large assemblies based on sketches and layouts of design concepts developed by R&D Engineers
* Administration of the CAD data management system including creation and maintenance of libraries and templates.
* Preparing and maintaining product BOM and BOM cost estimates
* Communicating with suppliers and organizing prototype manufacture.
* Coordinating all the procurement activities related to product development
* Inward inspection and verification of parts manufactured and delivered by suppliers.
* Assisting the Engineers in Electrical, Mechanical, and Environmental testing of new products and prototypes.
* Hands on work in building prototype units for various in-house tests.

The candidate should possess the following skills to be considered for the role
* Proficiency in Mechanical drafting with good understanding of AS 1100 standard
*Proficiency in 3D cad modeling (preferably PTC CREO)
*Understanding of top-down design methodology would be a real advantage
*Good understanding of manufacturing processes and process capabilities including various types of machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding metal casting and plastic mouldings.
*Experience in PLM systems would be an advantage (Windchill preferred).
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Communicating with Australian and overseas suppliers is a major part of this role.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Hands on experience in measuring instruments and mechanical tools including manual machines would be an advantage

• 5 – 10 years’ experience in:
o Mechanical design of mass produced products/assemblies
o Design of production jigs & fixtures

o FEA stress analysis, preferably ANSYS
• Teamwork skills
• Communication skills

Your key responsibilities will include:
Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, you will be part of a team whose role it is to upgrade existing products and industrialise new products. To succeed in this you will need to perform the following tasks:
• Design improvements and upgrades to medium voltage switchgear, from concept to production implementation. Drivers for upgrades will include:
o New or improved features
o Reliability improvements
o Ease of assembly
o BOM cost reductions
• Mechanical design of production line systems for switchgear, including

o Workstation design
o Materials handling solutions, including customised conveyors, monorails etc.
