Experience:

  • Significant knowledge and current practice in development of sophisticated 32bit embedded system applications, as well as PC, iPhone and Android applications for business solutions.
  • Knowledge of hardware and networking technologies, including systems operations & maintenance requirements.
  • Strong experience in a senior developer role across embedded development with the ability to mentor and guide junior programmers.
  • Must be a hands on developer with strong problem solving abilities.
  • Must have extensive experience in C, C++, LINUX and QT technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Software Engineer with significant experience to join a leading international company.   The role is focused on specifying, architecting and implementing one or more software development packages.  It would ideally suit a candidate who wants to architect a system and take a leading role in developing solutions from embedded software to cloud platforms.  

Please note that this is a role which requires hands-on development.  In addition, it involves leading and guiding other team members and stakeholders within the business. It is important you have excellent communication skills and be able to apply the right solution to a given problem.

Experience in:

  • Expert in Object Oriented programming and design patterns
  • 5-10 years of working experience with C++ programming experience. Other languages (e.g. Python) are highly regarded but preference is given to C++.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect a system and good API design principles
  • Version control tools (especially GIT/BitBucket and SVN),
  • Task tracking tools (e.g. JIRA and Tracs)
  • Systems engineering and specifying requirements
  • Significant Experience with 32 bit Embedded Linux Systems

Experience: You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in developing C and C++ software for embedded systems. Your strengths and experience will be in the areas of:

  • Development of Linux applications on 32 bit embedded systems
  • Eclipse, GNU Tools
  • Low level device drivers
  • Good exposure to the IP networking area (e.g. TCP/IP, sockets, network APIs)
  • Working with revision control systems such as SVN
  • Development over the entire SDLC
  • Contributing to the requirements gathering and design of solutions

Previous exposure to the following would be highly regarded:

  • Communications protocols (especially SCADA)

  • Strong C, C++ and  Linux essential, with QT highly regarded
  • Strong Experience with Php, ASP, MySQL or Python would be highly regarded

  • A good knowledge of Build systems, Automated functional testing, Universal data management across applications, certification and signing
  • Network management, repositories and revision control systems as well application licensing and registration

NOJA Power manufactures and supplies medium voltage switchgear products to more than 80 countries globally.  The Group operates from the Head Office and manufacturing facility in Murarrie, Brisbane with factory and offices in Brazil, Chile, Germany, UK & USA.

Reporting to the Group Company Accountant and based at the Head Office in Murarrie, Brisbane, your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of payroll master file data.
  • Processing of weekly payroll for Australian staff using Sage Wage Easy, with compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Performance of general payroll administration.
  • Coordination and management of the recruitment process.
  • Coordination and management of Workcover claims.
  • Preparation of employment offers and conducting new employee induction.
  • Coordination of employee performance reviews.
  • Organizing staff and company events as and when required.

To be successful in the role, you must possess:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Current knowledge of Fair Work Act and awards including classification, application of allowances and penalty rates, band level progressions and reclassification.
  • Current knowledge of PAYGW and superannuation legislation.
  • Current knowledge of workers compensation legislation and requirements applicable to Queensland.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the same or similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Applicants with experience in Wage Easy and/or formal HR qualifications will be highly regarded.
